64th Independence Day at the OM Foundation School:
School celebrated 64th Independence Day with lot of energy and enthusiasm. Students of the school presented various cultural programs. Mr. Sanjay Drabu, Trustee and Dr. RD Shukla, Director of OM Foundation School were present at the function.

Mother Teresa Birth Day:
Special assembly was organized to celebrate her birth anniversary. Students performed a play during the assembly based on her humanitarian work and advocacy for the rights of the poor and helpless.

Teachers Day celebrated:
OM Foundation students celebrated Teacher Day which marked their respect towards their teachers. Students paid an emotional tribute to Dr. S Radhakrishnan during the morning assembly. The senior students of the school acted as the teachers for the day.

The 9th Foundation Day:
OM Foundation Day was celebrated on 9th September to mark the completion of nine successful years. A special assembly was organized and sweets were distributed among the students.

The festival celebration: Eid ul-Fitr
School organized a special assembly to celebrate this holy festival of Eid and students were briefed about secularism and brotherhood amongst all religion.

Inter School Drawing Competition
Inter-School Drawing Competition was the major event under Green Initiative Program of OM Foundation. The students from the other NGO run schools also participated. The competition provided these students a platform to showcase their creative skills and imagination power on various environment based issues. Our corporate volunteers also participated and extended their valuable support. The event was widely covered by the print media in the National Dailies.
Barclays Time and Skill Community Program
The volunteers from Barclays Shared Services started the initiative “Time and Skill Community Program” with the students of the OM Foundation School. The endeavor started with a day long Art and Craft Activity. The joint effort of the Barclays Volunteers and the OM beneficiaries produced some fabulous handicraft products. The students of the school really enjoyed working with the volunteers and also enhanced their own creative skills. This type of opportunities will definitely boost up the moral and confidence of the students.

Healthcare :Eye Check-up camp

The Foundation organized Annual Eye check-up camp in association with ICARE Hospitals, Noida. The hospital extended its support by sending the team of doctors to carry out the check-up. The first round of check- up was conducted at the school on 25th of August. OM Foundation facilitated the advanced check up to be done at the ICARE Hospital. Theosophical Order of Society provided the spectacles to the students. OM Foundation extends special thanks to the ICARE hospitals and Theosophical Order of Society for their sustained support.


Aon Hewitt Volunteering Program

AonHewitt volunteers and OM School kids rocked the stage together with some scintillating performances to inaugurate the volunteering programs at the OM Foundation School. The objective of this visit was to initiate a bonding between the AonHewitt volunteers and the school kids. Lot of activities are planned for the year and will be executed at the school which will benefit the students.
Academic Updates: OM Foundation School
Weekly Tests
Regular weekly tests were conducted before the first terminal exams and students performed fairly well. These tests helped the teachers in continuous evaluation and monitoring of the students before the term examinations.
School Attendance Record
The overall school attendance for the last quarter was marked 98.80 %. The parent-teacher meeting was held in the last week of August and 90% of the parents turned out for this meeting.
Ist Terminal Examination
The first terminal exams were conducted in the month of September. The total of 243 students from Nursery to Standard VIII appeared in the examination. Exams were based on CCE (Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation) pattern. The question papers were also set as per the CBSE curriculum guidelines. The results will out in the first week of November.
School welcomes New Head Mistress
Dr. Rekha Mahajan joined the school as the Head Mistress in the month of September. She has more than 20 years of academic experience. Representing a diverse background, she is MSc., MEd, with P.hd in Education. Adding to her achievements, she is equally competent in sports and various curricular activities. NCC Cadet and a district level volleyball player add feathers to her various accomplishments. OM Foundation is fortunate to have her onboard and hope she will bring more colors to the organization and help the OM children to grow better with all her expertise. Prior to this assignment she was a Principal of a residential school in Haryana.
