Sulekha, one of the bright students from the 1st batch of OM, scored 90% in her class 12th examination. Her mother, who works as a cook at the school, proudly shows the tiny corner in her room where Sulekha used to study tirelessly. She is currently pursuing BSc. Electronics from Delhi University. She was always inclined towards programming and sports.

Today, she represents her college Volleyball team and has got placed through her college as a data entry operator. She has also started applying to various colleges for her post-graduation. She is a very hardworking and a confident student and is preparing herself for the upcoming challenges.

Times when we find inspiration from within ourselves: It gives a great sense of accomplishment and pride to see the beneficiaries rising up to the level where they start giving back to the society. Pooja Tiwari is one such achievement of OM’s skill development program who got the confidence and motivation to start her own play school and coaching center after completing the program.

OM’s skill development program is a supplement for the students to hone their potentials and enhance their skills. Within 3 months, she managed 109 admissions. This independent woman is a role model for the entire community.

Gautam’s parents relocated to Delhi and were living in a cramped one-room flat. His mother wanted him to have a better life for himself. He says that, “taking admission in OM Foundation was my first step towards success. OM gave me an experience of life. I was the captain of my house and that made me value responsibilities.” A perfect 10 CGPA in class 10th, motivated him to work harder to crack India’s toughest entrance examination – JEE entrance. “My teachers guided me at every step and even taught me at 4 in the morning. NIT is just a milestone. I want to join ONGC and run my own NGO just like OM; I wish to make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged just like OM made a difference in my life.” Gautam believes that dreams and hard work can take one to heights.

Venture-shala: Nurturing Entrepreneurship among Youth. OM Foundation succeeded in creating its first micro enterprise. 3 creative minds – Prem, Sanjeet and Dinunath from OM Foundation School realized their interest in computers and came up with an idea of providing complete solution for the digital needs of the community and named their initiative as “Kuch Bhi Cyber Café”.

After class 12th, they completed their vocational course in Tally and are currently pursuing their graduation from Delhi University School of Open Learning.

Aslam Alam’s story is a shining example of how collective efforts mixed with dedication can bring hopes to one’s life. Aslam is a 14-year-old beneficiary of OM Foundation After School Remedial program. This grade 8 student of a Govt School joined the program in the year 2016. He treats his low-income background as his strength, as it motivates him to work harder.

His 5 other siblings either are not interested in studying or are not able to study due to family hardship. But, Aslam wants to acquire great skills and has big plans for his future. Apart from academics, OM is helping him to brush upon his painting and basketball skills.

Meet this 9 year old girl Sakshi, an ingenious student of OM Foundation and a role model for her 4 elder siblings. She is a daughter of a tempo traveler driver, who hardly manages to sustain his family of 6 in a mere income of INR 9000 a month. Sakshi was an introvert child with a strong & only focus on studies.

Today, her dedicated efforts have turned her into an exceptional student both in academics and extracurricular activities. She is a rank holder in her class and is extremely popular among teachers and her classmates.
