OM Foundation is working since last Nine years with the urban slum population of Noida and has made remarkable changes in the lives of its beneficiaries. We will be bringing you such success stories through our newsletters. Here are some of students who are with us since inception:

Dinunath Halder
He is a son of Rickshaw puller and stays at Hoshiarpur Village. He is the only person in family getting education. He has got five siblings. His mother is a house maid.
"I feel I am privileged because I belong to OM Foundation family. Today I can see a future which I never dreamt off. I can do something for my hardworking family and my society. I want to be a researcher in the chemical industry"

Kavita Kumari
Daughter of a security guard lives in Morna village. Her father is the only bed earner and feeds the family of eight members.
"I always thank God for giving me an opportunity to study in the OM Foundation School. Here my teachers are my mentors. Education that I am getting here is precious for me and I want to be doctor so that I can justify the value of this education and serve my village as there is no doctor to cure us from endless diseases. The school takes care of my nutrition and healthcare as well."

Aarti Singh
She is a daughter of TV mechanic lives in Morna. Her mother does some tailoring work to augment the family income. She has got three siblings and she is the only girl getting education in the entire family.
"OM Foundation School is my first home, I spent my childhood here, each and every teacher is God to me. I adore them, I respect them and I love them. My dream is to stand on my own feet and to educate the other children who are not getting education."

OM Foundation family getting bigger:

The academic session 2011-2012 commenced from 4th of April. This year school added another 37 underprivileged students under its umbrella. The total strength of the school has gone up to 249. The school also started standard Eight from this session. The school is running ten classes i.e., Nursery to Eight from its Hoshiarpur Village Campus. Aon Hewitt at the school campus:

A team of almost Eighty members from Aon Hewitt Gurgaon office visited OM Foundation School. Aon Hewitt is one of our esteemed corporate partners. They spent the whole day at the school on 29th of April, 2011. They visited each and every class and interacted with the students. Computer lab enriched with new systems:

Special thanks to our prime partners Centrica for enriching the computer laboratory with latest configured Computers. Volunteers from Centrica installed the computers themselves. With this addition there will be 30 systems in the School and every student of the class will have an individual computer to work.

Summer camp- Puppet Show:

Ten students from the OM Foundation School participated in the Summer Workshop, organized by Setu Shiksha Jyoti Kendra, Nithari. In this workshop students learnt the art of Puppet making. Puppet making is something magical whenever Puppet comes to life, they bring a smile and forget about the 'real' world for a while. The students from other local schools also participated.
The students enjoyed, learnt and played during the whole session. This workshop helped the students to explore and develop their vocational skills as well.
