Our students recently participated in an engaging Project-Based Learning (PBL) session on Waste Management, where learning moved beyond the classroom into real-life application.
The session began with an introduction to types of waste, helping students understand biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable waste. Equipped with this knowledge, students conducted a school-wide survey, observing and examining the waste generated across classrooms and common areas.
To gain deeper insights, students interacted with teachers, fellow students, and support staff, understanding existing practices and challenges related to waste disposal. They then collaborated to brainstorm practical solutions to address the issue.
The initiative concluded with an interactive awareness session and a final presentation, where students confidently proposed solutions to improve waste management within the school.
This hands-on experience not only enhanced students academic understanding but also nurtured critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills-empowering them to become responsible and conscious citizens.
